SouthEast Link as well as some LMARC repeater systems can be joined via HAMs Over IP, see below for more information on these bridges as well as other conference extensions that we offer for specific uses..

HAMs Over IP (HOIP) is a FREE dedicated VOIP telecom service for the Ham Radio community.

We currently offer the following HAMs Over IP bridge extensions:

  • Extension 15012 – SouthEast Link Bridge System
  • Extension 15013 – N4LMC 144.920 Repeater System
  • Extension 15014 – W4GTA 145.350 Repeater System
  • Extension 15015 – N4LMC Agile HUB System

To use any LMARC based HAMs Over IP bridge:

  1. Dial the extension from any HAMs Over IP phone
  2. Wait for the “Node Connected” message
  3. Press *99 to talk (PTT)
  4. Press # to unkey

Typically, phones are established in ham shacks, EOCs, Clubs & club members, ARES, and other Ham related areas and functions.  It is not the intention of HAMs Over IP to replace traffic carried over radio in an emergency or other tactical operation, but rather to augment it, by offloading managerial tactical operations and providing a full duplex path for such communications when spectrum is occupied, conditions diminished, or otherwise unavailable.

In a non-tactical use, HAMs Over IP is an effective resource for off-air troubleshooting when you need to coordinate a troubleshoot of a radio circuit off-air and between multiple SMEs.   In addition to all this, conference bridges on the HAMs Over IP network allow large groups of Hams to coordinate & meet in real time anywhere in the world.
