She attended medical school at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis followed by an internship at Baptist Memorial Hospital. She subsequently held a Residency in Radiology at the University of Tennessee. During her career she was licensed to practice in TN, Arkansas, & Mississippi. She was certified in Diagnostic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology and finished her professional career in the Atlanta, GA area.<\/em><\/p>\n Harriet leaves behind some big shoes to be filled. She was a longtime and current Board Member at the Chattanooga Amateur Radio Club and was always present at Club Meetings, Field Days, HAMFests and more to promote our hobby that she loved so much.<\/em><\/p>\n Harriet was one of the founders of this very net, wishing to create an environment where women, shy women likes herself, could gain confidence in a hobby she enjoyed very much. Harriet, was not one to call attention to herself, but always had a word of encouragement for others. In fact, many of the YL\u2019s in this area were prodded by Harriet to get their license and increase their knowledge.<\/em><\/p>\n Harriet was our secret squirrel, we never knew her location, but now as she rests in peace, we know exactly where a woman as faith filled as she was now resides.<\/em><\/p>\n Calling KK4EAO …..<\/em><\/p>\n Calling KK4EAO …….<\/em><\/p>\n Calling KK4EAO ………<\/em><\/p>\n No response heard,\u00a0Rest In Peace KK4EAO<\/em><\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Purpose<\/strong> of our YL Net<\/strong> is to provide a forum for Licensed Female Hams of all ages and ham experience — to meet on the air for fellowship, to discuss common interests, to discuss technical topics, to learn how to prepare for emergency events and communications, and more.<\/p>\n Each week we will cover many of those and other eclectic subjects, including providing information on topics such as FAQs, answers to technical questions, information about upcoming events and activities, and more.<\/p>\n We invite all female (YL) Hams everywhere to check in to this net<\/strong>.<\/p>\n We invite OMs (Old Men) hams and non hams to listen (and many do) but only YLs are “allowed” to talk.<\/p>\n We meet every Monday Night at 8PM EST<\/strong><\/p>\n If you are in the Chattanooga Area and can hit the repeaters you will find us<\/p>\n on the 145.350 Repeater with Tone of 100 and Negative offset<\/strong><\/p>\n If you can’t hit the 145.350 and \/or are far far away — you can join us using\u00a0EchoLink Node SELINK node 387904\u00a0<\/strong>and on two Allstar nodes: 46530 and 510130<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n The Purpose of this website<\/strong> is to provide information of interest to YLs and all Hams including OMs.<\/p>\n EchoLink was discussed at our innaugural Net on August 7, 2017 and you will see a link in the drop down list in the menu bar for a summary of that discussion.<\/p>\n Echolink was discussed because YLs can check into this weekly YL Net using direct access to the repeater or (if too far away to ‘hit’ the repeater) by Echolink. And indeed we are getting many check ins using Echolink — so if you are far away, please check in using Echolink.
